Odyssey

I have been seeing fractals for days, in my eyes, in my sleep and in my heart. I made a seven minute fractal animation that you can click here to read about and download. I am a little crushed that the quality had to be compromised so that it could be small enough to upload, but I hope you enjoy it anyway. I had a fabulous time creating this little Odyssey. Literally, I would get up to dance! G`

That animation is like mood altering drugs. I'm packing into the wee hours of the night and have had a laundry snafu, sit down to check the email and the feed, watch your pretty fractals and now am all blissed out.

You should suggest a link to boing boing. More people should see this...

You are so dear lady k! If bliss is what it generated for you then I couldn't be more blissful myself. Are you packing to return to the states? I hope the airports are kind to you. I just submitted the link, we'll see what happens.

Hi Michael, thank you for your suggestion. My problem isn't really the capacity to upload since I have a dedicated server for my webpages (80 gigs and 1.2 bandwidth), the real problem would be the downloading, as the file size at its best compressed is 5 hundred something MB, so no body would be able to download it! At some point they would time out or crash. Traditionally with my 3D work I can compress it at a fair quality for download but with the severe details in the fractals it doesn't work the same. It's a shame but if it goes to a different form of media, (i.e. t.v) the high res version could be viewed. Anyway, so glad to see you here my fellow Extrope, and so glad you like it!

Your fractals are so cool!!!!! They also have a strange hypnotic feel to them that makes me forget myself and fly off to the stars.

Great work Gina!
